Cromer is Joining the Forklifts Group Family of Dealerships. Questions? Here are the Answers
You may have seen the recent email announcing Cromer’s joining Forklifts Group. Any such change always raises questions, so we collected the most frequent questions our team’s already received.
If you had questions about the future of Cromer, we hope these answers will help!
What is Forklifts Group?
Forklifts Group is a material handling distributorship, currently based in the Northeast, with dealerships in Ohio and New York. Cromer joining this brand is part of Forklifts Group’s nationwide expansion.
Joining Forklifts Group allows us to bring in new product and service capabilities, and streamline some of our operations, so we can provide you a better customer experience.
(All Forklifts Group locations operate under local management and that will continue.)
Where are the other Forklifts Group branches?
In addition to the Cromer locations in Northern California and Nevada, Forklifts Group has locations in Toledo, Ohio; Columbus, Ohio; and New York, New York.
I’ve worked with my Cromer account rep/service technician for years now. I’m not interested in working with someone new.
No need to worry! They’re still here. You’ll see very little change to how you do business with us now. More importantly, you can expect the same level of service that you know and trust. We’re not changing the great team we have here.
Will my rep’s contact information change?
You'll still use the same phone number to reach your rep. Emails will change from @cromer.com to @forkliftsgroup.com over time. Your contact will advise you here.
Do we have to call an office out of state now?
No. All Cromer locations remain open, with the same teams, and the same phone numbers you know. The only thing changing is the name.
Why is the name changing?
The name change is part of a larger effort to integrate the Cromer facilities with the nationwide Forklifts Group network. This allows us to take advantage of greater inventory, implement new processes in our facilities, and take care of more customers.
When does the name change take effect?
We’re on track to complete the name change (and related internal processes) in April.
What advantages does this rebrand convey?
Access to more equipment types and brands, for one. Your local Cromer (now your local Forklifts Group) will have more equipment options for you to choose from. Examples are Linde forklifts, Manitou telehandlers, Snorkel boom lifts, and more.
Another advantage is the ability to draw on more parts warehouses (OEMs vary by location). You’ll be able to access more inventory from the other Forklifts Group locations!
Still have a question? Please contact your Cromer rep, or call us at 800.464.3225.
Until next month!
